Los Angeles Lakers Sell #29 To Knicks

The Los Angeles Lakers have sold the #29 pick in the 2009 NBA Draft to the New York Knicks in exchange for $3 million (the going price for a pick in the 20's it seems).

"Certain teams, they may want to preserve cap space for the next year or two and they may need to add players," Kupchak said. "A good way to add talent at a fixed price is to have a lot of draft choices and then you can still maintain cap space a year from now."

The Lakers still hold the #42 and #59 picks in the draft this year.
