Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak said Wednesday that there was a "better than even likelihood" the team would get rid of its first-round pick.

It does make sense that a team coming off a championship would look to keep their core in tact, instead of drafting and trying to fit someone else in the system. Who or what the pick will be traded for is still in the works right now.
